Peter’s Watercolour, Magog Downs

Magog Downs, Watercolour

Magog Downs, Watercolour

Peter has worked up his sketches from our watery watercolour session a couple of weeks ago.

This stunning painting uses a palette of subtle greens and ochre with a light wet on wet wash in the foreground

to suggest the movement in the long meadow grasses.

The sky is cerulean blue and orange worked wet with a loose technique that prevents the clouds from being over worked.

Looking forward to Peter’s next landscapes , thank you for sharing with us…

Theses are a few of the lovely watercolour paintings created as a result of the five week evening course at Hills Road VI College.

If you remember their challenge was to paint a still life with fruit and vegetables with a view through a window.

We broke the sessions into studies of the various components and on the final week put these all together.

I hope you enjoy them –
